These terms apply when you use ranktheworld.io ("RankTheWorld", "we"). By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Your account

• You need to be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• Give a real email address, and keep your password, passkeys and devices secure.
• You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has used it.
• You can stop using RankTheWorld at any time and ask us to delete your account.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

• break the law, or use the site to harass or harm anyone;
• try to get into accounts or parts of the site that aren't yours, or probe them for weaknesses without our permission;
• overload the site, or copy large amounts of it with automated tools in a way that disrupts it for others;
• pretend to be someone else or misrepresent where your content came from.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Your content

Your rankings, quiz answers and favorites stay yours. You let us store and display them so the site can work for you. We don't claim ownership of them.

The data on this site

World Data figures come from public sources, mainly the World Bank's open data (licensed CC BY 4.0), and are refreshed regularly. Sources publish with a delay and sometimes revise past figures, so values can be out of date or differ from other sources. The data is provided for general information only: please don't rely on it for financial, legal, medical or other important decisions without checking the original source, which each page links to.

Our content

The site's design, text and code belong to RankTheWorld. Data from third-party sources remains under its own license, which allows reuse with credit to the source. Travel photos come from Unsplash and Pexels and are used under their licenses; the world map is based on Natural Earth (public domain).

Availability and changes

We work to keep RankTheWorld running smoothly, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features. If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top, and for important changes we'll tell account holders by email first.

Liability

RankTheWorld is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site or its data. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer laws that can't be excluded.
